Yeah out of the Johto starters, Typhlosion line is shilled the most. Hisuian form for Typhlosion in PLA, Ash and Dawn got Cyndaquils that evolved into Quilavas in the anime, Cyndaquil usually paired with Ethan/Gold in media and marketing materials, pretty clear who the most pushed is.

It was inexcusable in 2nd gen, though 5th gen however none of the final forms looked good, only the base forms with maybe Dewott being an exception but his Oshawott never evolved.
