The point is that being really, really good at just one or two things is what makes a Pokemon broken even if it has some crippling weaknesses otherwise - e.g. Spectrier is frail and practically can't touch Dark or Normal types but it's obscenely strong and fast and can effortlessly sweep through any team that doesn't bring Tyranitar or Blissey (in practice the only actually viable counters for it) or just wait for those two Pokemon to be weakened enough since Tyranitar has no recovery and Blissey is overly passive and easily exploited by Spectrier's teammates.
The knife is pokemon like Lando-T who are versatile and therefore common but nowhere near strong enough at any of their many roles to be broken.
