I thought Scizor was part fire type well into 4th gen. I can explain. First of all, it turns from green to red for no reason. Second, when I first heard it pronounced in the anime, being the retarded kid I was I thought the name was derived from "sizzle". Third, they rarely showed up in the games and up to that point they were too hard to get for me to have owned one, so I never bothered to check its typing. It did explain why water type moves weren't super effective though.

I traded my Tornadus away for a Noctowl and Armaldo. I hadn't played HGSS yet despite owning them, and my only other Pokemon experience was Fire Red and plain old Blue.
In my partial defense, I was distracted by something else when they removed Thunderus from the trade pool, since the original idea was those two AND getting Thunderus in exchange for my Tornadus.

I don't know if this exactly counts as a confession but I'll share because it's definitely embarrassing

Back when I was in school, there were a handful of presentations I made with Pokemon. I wanted my presentations to stand out from everybody else's. I wanted to create a story that somewhat fits in with the topic the presentation. One of my presentations was about 1800s America or something so I thought it would be cool if the pokemon went back in time to actually experience it but then they get stopped by Thomas the Tank Engine who was supposed to be a time travel cop. You guys would probably think it's chris-chan tier autism if I could show you them. That said, my classmates actually got a kick out of it and my teachers for the most part liked it, but looking back on it, it's definitely cringey

When I was ten or so, I drew an evolutionary line of nazi litterbox pokemon. Their names were Litler, Fenein, and Naznand I think. The line was classic "it just gets bigger" shit. They all were litterboxes with Hitler mustaches and stick figure limbs.
