but that would be based. 3-years-before Johto could have some cool moments like getting to face off against Falkner's dad as the original Violet gym leader. Hell, the majority of Johto's gym leaders apart from Chuck and Pryce seemed like up and coming young faces so the Johto gym challenge overall could go a very different way. If we're getting really wild with the never-ever suggestions, throw a couple of Spaceworld beta designs in there as variants and call it a day

I want to be able to fight wild pokemon, so being able to consistently re fight trainers or adding like a tournament building in every town where you can fight trainers repeatedly would alleviate my problems completely

If you wanted to make my dream game, it'd be Kanto, Johto, and the Sevii Islands in one game, with LGPE's aesthetic style. Sevii Islands has would have their own gym leader equivalents, a Fairy and Dark type expert among them.

Aside from that, I dunno, a functional battle tower?

Red and Blue don't look THAT old in SM so there can't be that many world-shaking implications like characters being married and with a family or straight up dead. I'm not sure how they'd handle Team Rocket in another sequel, if at all, but if a phone spinoff can handle it somewhat decently, then I guess it's okay, it can't be as bad as whatevee USUM did anyway. But least actually tell a different tale with the region instead of defliling it to make it easier to digest for """modern audiences""""
Maybe add Lillie as an actual trainer in some capacity

The motion controls are the best part, you feel like you're actually catching pokemon instead of button mashing. If you're too weak, fat, and slovenly to wave your arms a little then you should be hitting the gym, not playing video games.

Get it you your thick skull:
A Pokémon game will ALWAYS be easy because they need children to beat it. They will NEVER do a Pokémon for "hardcore" fans aka autistic manchildrens, the best you can hope is very optional postgame content with Trainers you can still bruteforce with level 100 Pokémon.
