>>51705914I never thought such a thing was possible but I think they've managed to oversaturate releases for even the spergiest of pokemon worshippers. BDSP and Arceus were released barely a few months apart, so everyone's still in the aftermath of that. Anybody who likes Arceus knows that most of its features won't be back, and everyone who cares about the meta is still crying into their copies of SwSh. The usual appetite for the yearly serving of Game Freak mediocrity just isn't there.
People get mildly amused whenever they announce a new variant, and mildly sigh when they announce something like Ed Sheeran singing for the game, but deep down nobody gives a shit, not even the people who gobble up everything GF puts out.
