Just finished Pokemon Scarlet and I'm dropping some key information I haven't heard covered from leakers yet. If you don't want to be spoiled be warned.
>Skipping optional content, the game is the second shortest in the main series
>Less new Pokemon than Sun/Moon if you count variants and UBs
>Each 'storyline' focuses on a different Team Star group and each has its own leader
>Team Star is pretty unremarkable overall but some of the leaders are fun
>Main villain is a """twist""" villain who is also the champion
>Story is overall pretty good for Pokemon but not the best
>Maractus gets some much needed love
>Past and Future Pokemon play a very small role in the actual story
>There's a huge park area you cant enter but the guy who stops you mentions "riding Pokemon inside"
>Armarouge and Ceruledge have a common pre evo and its linked to a legendary (think Carbink)
>Armarouge/Ceruledge are used by a villain who opposes the legendary dragons and wants to awaken the "dragonsbane"
>Gym leaders do not scale with the player but its very easy to know which one is next because of how strong nearby pokemon and trainers are
>There is a death in the storyline
>Professors play a much bigger role than most previous games, and youll meet both
>Theres a garden where you can capture wild Eevees
>In the garden an npc hints at a rare pokemon that can evolve similar to Eevee but shes never seen one herself
>The games difficulty overall is similar to Sun/Moon
>Surprising nod to Johto later in the game
