/v/ was flooded with Pokemon Black and White discussion back in 2010 before the launch, so /vp/ was created as a containment board.

because this place and these topics are the only things they can feel justified about voicing their complaints. its an echo chamber when they hit the right audience and it makes them feel valid when others agree, and powerful when they bust out xyz slurs/comebacks/whatever to those who dont approve. i have a ton of issues with joe (mostly about how amateur his site is, including giving up on updating with correct info after a different game has come out leaving blatantly wrong things up for those who try to use serebii as a guide) but he doesnt live rent free in my head, as they say. like yeah its funny to remember his past slip-ups especially when he acts high and mighty but not definitely enough that im going to dedicate my entire online presence to discussing it every time theres a lull in the catalog. i only find it necessary to reply on here to answer questions or provide more info when i see it requested, or engage in the easygoing threads. theres just no point getting into buzzword screaming matches. nobody walks away any better off in life than before the argument started. (its stupid fun to watch sometimes though)

Are you one of those autists who can't detect hints of nuance, tone indicators, intensity, sarcasm, and things like that? Because my reply was far from a "meltdown." And I hope you know I was hyperbolizing a little bit for effect; for example, there is no LITERAL "trans news feed." It's more so that trans things are brought up or talked about so fucking much that it takes over entire threads sometimes. Hell, I'm just tired of seeing the word 'trans' at this point.
