>51722393>Johto was so boring they had to add a second region to the game>>51722388The way Gen2's overworld and battle music changed with the time of day was something that was easy to take for granted at the time and It's a shame Gen 3 doesn't have day/night (especially since it clearly had a time cycle or else berry planting wouldn't be possible). Still I appreciate how varied Hoenn's environments are while feeling like a single cohesive region.
