Thinking of buying a Switch for Pokemon. Should I get the regular, lite or OLED? Which one do you have?

No comment on regular vs OLED, but don’t get the Lite, you’ll end up regretting it sooner or later.
The price of the Lite isn’t enough lower to justify the limitations it has.

I have this >>51724206 preordered, but thinking about canceling because desu SV is turning out to look mediocre all around like SWSH did. What non pokemon games are good

Either get an original switch and hunt through listings to check if it has a homebrew-able ID number, or go OLED (or emulate).
Not really much a point to the rest unless you exclusively travel in which case the Lite is fine but OLED screen is miles better anyway for travel

If you exclusively play handheld mode, get the Lite. If you exclusively play docked mode, get the base model. If you play both AND greatly value the benefits of OLED visuals, then maybe consider the OLED but honestly I'd still probably just recommend the best model anyway.

I'll never understand the reason for getting the Lite when the original is just as portable and can be docked. Not to mention if your joycons start to drift on the Lite, it's even more of a hassle to fix. The OLED is the best option if you don't mind the extra money and prefer handheld, but if you play docked then the original does the same job. Or if you have a good PC and don't care about playing on original hardware, just use Yuzu/Ryujinx.

It's too big and too thin. I usually have to use a third-party grip if I want to play handheld for a long period of time.

Which is sad, considering that's the console's main selling point.
