It's a slow remix of the opening with some instrumental tacked in, on its own it ain't bad I could argue that it would be a great ending theme but not a battle theme, it strips both the region and kukui of its identity to a point it feels tacked to the player as if it was your theme
I consider it the start of the decline in themes, after it we got a lot of themes that are nothing but leitmotiffs held together by some beats, stuff like ultra necrozma was a bunch of leitmotiffs and Remixes of old themes with instruments from all generations but that one at least packed a punch, tittle defense just didn't do shit but push for cheap fanservice, this is the epitome of undeserving leitmotiffs in battle themes there's just no gravitas to you as a player to feel attachment to the theme of the gameplay moment it is tacked on
