>>51732248>Battle FrontierAll the typical facilities + PWT and something for inverse battles.
>Post-game exploration areasLike the Battle/Survival/Resort Areas in DPPt with a bunch of mini stories and quests to complete. This is where the Battle Frontier would be.
>ContestsExpanded to have 8 contest halls and one grand hall like the Pokemon League and has its own subplot. Still remains optional.
>Secret BasesFunction like they did in ORAS but with more decoration options like wallpaper/flooring. Maybe implement the statues from BDSP so they can influence the Pokemon encounters on thay route.
>Berry and apricorn farmingActual farming like planting and growing, not just shaking trees and hoping a squirrel doesn’t steal your shit. Make it an early or mid-game area that has a big farm you can use, maybe bring back mulch and hybrid berries. Also you can just make balls out of apricorns, no more roulette with garbage odds.
>Difficulty settingsEasy plays like Pokemon now with full team EXP Share, showing you what moves are SE or NVE, affection benefits in battle proc more often. Normal plays like Gameboy/DS era Pokemon, still has affection benefits for immersion but they don’t proc as often. Hard has better AI, NPCs will switch Pokemon and ultilize held items, no affection benefits in battle.
>Character focused storyAll Pokemon games basically have the same plot, but the stories we remember the most are the ones with good characters. Just write memorable, fleshed out characters and it doesn’t really matter what dressings you give the “stop the bad guy” story. The only story beat I think should be specifically added is:
>Your rival joins the evil teamThis has been a long time coming. He can start off friendly but there needs to actually be payoff when he starts getting frustrated about you beating him all the time and not living up to X figure in his life. We saw shades of this with Hau and Hop but they pussied out at the end.
