I'm going to say yes if only because they still have most of what made gen 3 good and had some welcome additions like a day night cycle, dexnav, and soaring. There was a lot of cringe changes too but they don't effect the gameplay too much

It didnt peak in gen 5, but gen 5 was the last good gen. The series peaked with Explorers of Sky and HGSS.

I wish explorers was more like a visual novel and didn't put so much time into the rather boring mystery dungeon gameplay
