I disagree with you on that one. It can be done well. The PWC is the perfect set up for Ash to reach Leon but in order to progress he’ll have to face people he’s battled with in the past just to show how far he’s come. Bringing back old friends and a reflection of their Journeys can also make a fun story as well. Problem is the show didn’t focus on this and really wanted to be a slice of life trying to promote Pokémon Go and whatever the fuck they were doing.
