It's asexual reproduction. A female lizard mounts another one, simulates sex, and the mounted female lizard has a clone of herself essentially.

People say Cubone/Marowak are Ground because you bury bones in dirt, and that's probably part of the reason, but I think the actual, main reason is because they use their bones to slam hard on the ground, making shock waves that create earthquakes. Or that's the idea, anyway.

It has to dig itself out of its mother's grave. Not all baby Kanghas make it, and die with their mothers. The ones that do emerge gain the ground typing, as it was required to move so much earth.

I would believe this theory more with another pokemon, also in several media the thing about Cubone's mom has been denied, this is the bad thing about treating a species as an individual character.

picrel is also bullshit, but at least understand how the skull of a kangaskhan works

If it was incorrect or gossip, they wouldn't written it. Things in fiction are written for a reason, and we have no source other than the Pokedex, so the Pokedex is true by default.

Kangaskhan are the Gerudo of Pokemon. They will always have a Kangaskhan as a child. Obviously it doesn't work this way due to gameplay mechanics, but its the most 'logical' explanation.

In the Pokedex, compiled by information gathered by small children on canon to only serves to explain to the player what the monster design is based off of.

It's literally the plot. You, the player character, are filling out the Pokedex with the information you gather. Presumably your rivals Pokedex entries look different. Actually, this should be a game mechanic, it would be pretty neat if entries changed depending on who you spoke to and how you encountered the Pokemon.

No, the game explicitly tells you that the Pokedex does that itself. The AI (or Rotom) inside the Pokedex is writing the entries. You catching the Pokemon allows the AI/Rotom to write more detailed entries.

I don't think this was intended to mean it wrote the entries, just objective data like size and whatever. I could be wrong, but it's unintuitive that catching an Eevee would grant the Pokedex the knowledge that "There are only a few alive."
