This gen's competitive will see a lot of interest in the lower tiers, simply because of the sheer amount of variety the gimmick creates there. OU/Ubers will literally just be the same 15 pokemon.

Golduck will no doubt be in UU, but I could see him doing ok there.

Dude can deal decent damage both physically and with Special. He'd probably be a good Ice too.

Why would you? Pure Psychic is a terrible type defensively and Psychic stab doesn't really bring much to the table for Golduck.
In fact, what would Golduck do that literally any other Water type can't?
