The mimic or trapped chest is quite important to old school RPG design as a way of adding tension and a risk reward decision to late dungeon chests.
Electrode is a fantastic mimic as it is fast enough to potentially cause problems to even a very strong team. It also gets some very hard hitting moves in the form of self destruct and explosion so that you have to fear its ability to take out much stronger pokemon.
