Catching and training Pokemon that are confirmed to be in SV so far. Also making speed tier list and thinking about interesting/good/fun cores and strategies to use.

Few of the top candidates for sure are;
>Hydreigon
252+ SpA Choice Specs Dragon Tera Type Hydreigon Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Rotom-W: 164-194 (104.4 - 123.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
This thing is a monster, can hit like a truck or you could also go more deceptive set with Steel-Tera and Flash Cannon + Life Orb, that should take care of the pesky fairies and also help against faster Dragons.

Rock Terastalize to get rid of Fairy, Bug, Fighting (4x>2x) weaknesses and for the Adaptability Rock Slides.
It will be really good against the inevitable Fire-Torkoal and the possible Fire-Charizard with Solar Power and Sun. Also Ghost T-Tar is a meme, it would take Sand Damage and get rid of Sp.Def Boost, Rock Tera + Chople Berry will do the trick.

Fairy Tera for the massive Hyper Voices
>Fire-Torkoal
Duh, only other weather setter can stop this man in Trick Room.

Able to have no weakness with Electric Tera, good old Disquake (Discharge + Earthquake) might be back.

Ground Tera to turn old weaknesses into resistance and immunity while gaining a powerful spread stab, paired with Dragon dance very scary.

Pretty basic stuff.

Urshifu:
>Contact moves only do 25% Damage trough protect.
Incineroar:

I am pretty confident I am going to run Overquil as a bulky intimidate abuser with black sludge. I want to play around with Komala since it hasn't been in a game for a while and tera normal last resorts will be funny.

Beating LOA since Hisuian mons are likely to be legal. Trying to refrain from teambuilding since we don't know 1/4 of the dex.

Hydreigon (Steel, Electric, Fire), Rotoms (Electric), Sylveon (Fire, Ground), Dragapult (Dragon, Steel, Electric, Fire) are some I'm looking forward to. I like Sylveon in particular because the opportunity cost for using Tera Blast on it without Terastallizing is lower than other mons since it can become STAB.

S3-S5 SwSh goodstuffs team SV Style is my initial thought:
Pult -> Pult
Toge -> Sylveon
Exca -> Scizor
Incin -> Arcanine
Rotom-W -> Rotom-W
Iron Defense Win Con and/or additional Speed Control (corv, braviary, TR mon, etc)

I'd like old move tutor accessibility to be returned. Utility moves like Tailwind, Gravity, and Knock Off are hard to find on mons with viable stats.

Some things I've theoried

Generally the biggest flaw with rain/hail/sand teams is having to overlap types, but with Tera they have more flexibility. Swift Swimmers being able to keep their water STAB but have the option to change type against things like bulky grass types sounds terrifying. I predict rain to make a strong comeback, and hail to be much more viable than ever before since Ice types benefit greatly from Tera, hopefully Cetitan is at least a faster Slush Rush user than Beartic.

>Covert Cloak
Gen 5/6 Sitrus Berry tier, any Pokemon that doesn't need anything specific will want this item. The amount of important secondary effects it blocks is insane, pic related.

>Trick Room
Sounds easier to setup with Covert Cloak and the option to Tera, supporters probably won't want to Tera very often but it might come in clutch sometimes

>uncommon Pokemon that could be strong with Tera
Lurantis (STAB Contrary Superpower, or use Tera Blast with something that goes well with Fighting, like Fairy)
Clawitzer (basically has 4 STABs already)
Toxtricity (super strong Tera boosted Overdrives or Boombursts)
Every Ice type

Covert cloak enables a bunch of wild stuff, like Justified Arcanine with Extremespeed + Any typing and coverage, with Beat Up Dragapult if its in the game, no fake out can stop that and I think that changes a lot with this kind of strategies.

And yeah Swift Swimmers gonna be wildin for sure, Drednaw looks decent with Rock or Grass Tera, no one can witch in safely.
