I can't put into words why the character doesn't work, I mean the character is ok, his design isn't bad, and he has more specific goals in line with the franchise.....but it doesn't work in the Pokemon anime. It's as if Pokemon owners don't understand their own product and want to apply schemes that have worked in other franchises.
