>>51766073Well, I distinctly remember an acquaintance of mine, about 15, bragging that the previous generations were pansies, because they couldn't watch graphic snuff films on a large TV.
Here's the deal:The internet used to be a niche. It's not anymore. The shit you dealt with was scarring, but at least it was contained within a smallish band. Because the internet has become as popular and large as it has, now everyone, not just the techies and geeks, has to see that.
Now it's NORMAL to see that. Keep in mind that seeing such shit is definitely not okay, and will alter your mind. So many soldiers got fucked seeing less than half of the crap you grew up, and now it's just NORMAL in society to end up seeing it.
Don't you think this is a bad trend to be in?
>>51766081I'm glad he's got a good taste in games. What's he play anyways? I'm looking to expand my games list a little since 2k hours in Rimworld is not healthy.

What always fascinated me was the internet is a huge cycle of making new content, and then recycling it before something new would come out. It was always like that then, it's like that now. The difference now though is that you're supposed to add a layer of mockery and irony every time you recycle it, which makes it increasingly retarded.
There's only sincerity in the new, and since the majority of content is effectively recycled, there's barely any sincerity on the internet these days.
