He was determined to introduce it to me, I guess so he didn't feel so weird about being a grown man watching a kids' cartoon, so he took me to a toy shop and made me pick out one of those rubber balls with the little Pokemon figures inside. I wanted Blastoise because it was a cool turtle with guns, but he insisted I take Pikachu because it was the main character. It was Pikachu or nothing, and after we bought it he'd only let me have the toy if I said "Pikachu, I choose you" out loud. I haven't seen him in over 15 years but I'm still here, playing Pokemon.
Anyway, I guess the answer is Pikachu
