Why is /vp/ so obsessed with exploration when in every pokemon game the new areas are repetitive and ugly, the environmental storytelling is shit, and the lore is incoherent multiverse bullshit?

The multiverse shit was not meant to taken seriously. It's just an in-universe explanation for retcons, like why Mega Stones is no longer exclusive to Kalos, or why the Fairy type is now something that's always been known about when it was a "new discovery" in XY.
