I DO think Ninetales-A is great, fwiw, but it's the support movepool that stands out, and I don't necessarily think it was specifically designed with offense in mind so much as offense happens to benefit from its support movepool the best. Calyrex-Ice has to compete directly with Calyrex-Shadow for a teamslot, and ultimately it tends to lose out. Admittedly, it's because even though Trick Room is damn good in VGC, it's still an archetype that you might not want to bring to every match. Not particularly an indictment of Calyrex-Ice. Kyurem-Black getting DD and Icicle Spear should have happened all the way back in Gen 5, and when it finally got the boot to Ubers it only has the tiniest of niches. Yes, if Freeze Shock and Ice Burn were not charge moves, they'd be good, but they're not and so they aren't good. Ice-Types absolutely can be good and they are good (Mamoswine is another example,) but I dunno, out of the 3 restricted Ice types, only 1 is actually truly any good anywhere.
