Nah I’m sure Iris will still be champion. Only reason why Steven became Champ in XY was not because ORAS but they actually had plans for him. Iris is more popular than Alder so I don’t think they’ll flip flop

Iris is the Champion now. Alder is retired.
He doesn’t need a “redemption”, he fulfilled his duty and was then defeated, giving his title to the person who earned it.
Maybe if they feel like it he can show up on occasion, but that would require context. Maybe if BW remakes do end up getting made he’ll have a cameo in an episode or two.

BW2 are the most recent games but won’t be when the remakes comes out.

Considering Journeys wants to make the anime a 1:1 with the games, is Iris staying Champion for games she isn’t in, marketable? Especially when people preferred Alder anyway (anime)

If the anime is to reflect the games, he should train himself up to his old peak and then still lose to Iris.
