I am unironically glad this happened. Though I wish it hadn't happened to Porygon in particular. Have you actually watched late 80's-90's Anime? They fucking loved to play a fucking strobe light during action scenes all the fucking time that hurts your eyes and make it damn near impossible to actually see what's going on. This incident single handedly ended that technique and improved anime because of it.
