Final E4 Member: Grim - The Prodigy
Team:
>Umbreon>Bisharp>Houndoom>Honchkrow>Hydreigon>Mega TyranitarBio:
Grim Darkwood, through his entire career, has been helped by the experience and skills of his father, Lucius Darkwood.
Lucius took Grim to Johto's Safari Zone at a young age, where the young boy would catch a rare Larvitar. Enamored with his new Pokémon, Grim would quickly develop a passion for battling.
Lucius would then take to training Grim, teaching his son nearly everything he knew about Pokémon battling.
Eventually Grim would set off on his own Pokémon journey. With his father's knowledge and Thanatos the Larvitar at his side, he would eventually conquer all 8 of Johto's Gyms. His League Challenge however would be cut short, as the family would move to the Zirca Region.
No matter, as Grim, chomping at the bit to battle new trainers, would repeat the feat in Zirca, eventually earning himself a place in the Region's Elite Four.
Problem is, although he would never (and will never) admit it, Grim never felt that he earned his status. His father's knowledge is what had carried him all this way.
If on the verge of losing a battle, Grim will become much more emotional and agitated. This "Berzerk" state leaves him more prone to mistakes, and has been the ultimate cause of his few losses.
Trainer Tips:
>Grim's edgy, dark team has a chink in its armor: the Fighting Type. With the exception of his Honchkrow, trainers with Fighting Pokémon like Breloom will be able to crush most of Grim's team with their muscle-packed power.
>Grim is very tied to his Ace, Thanatos the Tyranitar. knocking out his lead Umbreon with a Pokémon weak to Rock-Type Attacks is a way to bait out his ace. Take it out, and the Dark trainer's "Berzerk" state is sure to come out. Keep a level head, and best Grim, clearing your way to the Champion.
