The actual price for a CIB Emerald ranges from 200 to 300 depending on condition and region (PAL or US). JPN copies are cheaper at around 70 to 120 because japanese kids took better care of their toys.

The prices will either keep going up because the supply will diminish or drop if the new global interest in Pokemon drops back to gen 3-6 levels. But in general retro game collecting has been getting more and more expensive since Covid.
