>>51802059I’m a fellow Ruby and Sapphire enjoyer but I wouldn’t say they’re better games outright.
In fact, Emerald is obviously the better game overall. But I still replay RS more because they lack the one major issue I have with emerald’s campaign: there’s so many damn trainers that are so low leveled that it’s nearly impossible not to over level and curb stomp everything.
In RS this problem doesn’t exist since the trainers are a bit higher leveled and there’s drastically less, so you end up lower leveled as a result, which just makes the whole game more enjoyable on average.
Like, take route 113 for example. In emerald the trainers are leveled 17-19 roughly, and usually I’m around 23-27 by then. In RS the trainers are leveled 18-20 roughly and I’m usually around 20-24 by then. This problem only gets worse as the game goes on. But honestly it also heavily depends on playstyle, if you use more than 6 mons this problem kinda goes away.
Tldr I get what you mean, but you’re wrong.
