>>51803634What are you even talking about? I like all of the games, including the first ones so maybe I can shed some light on what makes gen 1 special
1. Kanto has unique world design that feels like it opens up after the third gym (even though it doesn't open that much, it still feels good)
2. The story is simple, and never goes into stakes that are too high. It also feels quite personal compared to later games
3. Gen 1 designs are very unique, especially as pokemon continues to grow. They feel more like monsters or kaiju, and some designs are really unique and alien (Magmar, Jynx) while others are appealing in their simplicity.
4. Gen 1 mechanics are broken to hell and back but guess what? That can be fun. Pokemon games are easy, but that doesn't mean it isn't fun to destroy the game with Charizard or Jolteon spamming Slash or just destroying the game with a team of psychics or whatever.
I want to reiterate that I love most gens. I think my favorite gens are, in no order, 2, 5, and 7. But gen 1 is still special, unique, and fun.
Hope this helps OP. Try to stop using dumb schoolyard terms like genwunner and try opening your mind. You might find something special.
