Cynthia has done nothing to prove she’s any stronger than Diantha. All Cynthia did was beat non Champion tier trainers like Flint and they both technically defeated a Champion in the PWC. Cynthia only got a longer battle because she fought the main character. Same thing would’ve happened if Cynthia faced Leon.
