I don't understand why people keep saying he was a good director. He was a fucking hack. Almost all the games he directed were shitty unfinished titles that needed a third version. Sinnoh would've been complete garbage if Platinum didn't exist. Gen 6 is considered the worst gen by many because it didn't get a third version. BW was his only exception.
It's kind of painful to think that when future games like SV will sell less than SWSH (which they will, because we already have SWSH for pokemon games on the switch) people will start saying that this is all because masuda wasn't the director anymore, even most of the shit he directed needed to be redone by other directors.
