It's 11:30am, a Monday probably, You're sitting there on your Gameboy you snuck out in your schoolbag when mum wasn't watching. You're fishing on route 12 trying to catch Slowbro. You sigh as you reel in your 12th Magikarp.
Your friend sits down near you to play as well, see's you reel in another Magikarp and tells you about how his brother said they turn into something special when they level up. You dismiss it as a lie, you've been burnt by such rumours before, this is the same kid that said you got to play as bowser if you beat Mario World without losing a life.
You go home that day, continue to fish for Slowbro but he never comes. "Whatever" you say, you decide to try and level up a Magikarp. You spend about an hour leveling up Magikarp with the switch out method. lev 10,12,15 nothing.. You start to think about giving up. Magikarp gets to level 20. "that's enough, Ricky lied to me again" you say.
The screen fades from the battle. "What, Magikarp is evolving"
