For me its easily Slateport because its sunny coastal weather, large crowded beach, and open street market reminds me so much of the California cities I grew up in. I still remember using surf off the beaches and it always reminded me of taking our boat on the water.

I don't like either of these because its constant changing camera angles and the constant implications the city is larger than what you're able to actually visit really throws off my immersion. Similar problem with a lot of Galars cities and routes. In the older games the cities were much simpler, but to me they felt more real because they didn't get "special treatment" from the routes or smaller towns. You just knew they were big cities simply because they were physically larger town areas. I hope SV fixes these gripes with the more open world design approach

my all-time favorite is Anistar City, the theme's also one of my favorite songs in the series
i remember after the first SV trailer in february i was hoping for references to the sundial in what we'd later learn was Paldea, pic related. then we got the terastal teaser in the june trailer, which i thought could be related, but nothing happened :(
