For context, Sun Stones are ridiculously rare in Gen 3. You that you can only get one Sun Stone if you play Sapphire. Even if you play Ruby/Emerald you have to continuously spam thief on Solrock from that only appear with a 20% encounter rate in Meteor Falls and even then only 5% of Solrocks hold a Sun Stone. So it's basically a 1% chance, making Sun Stones as rare in RSE as Metal Coat is in GSC.
It's better than Medicham for Haunter since you at least know you're being scammed ahead of time, but still...
