25 y/o here. Been in uni for a year now. The only people I have met that still play Pokémon (such as buying main series games and playing competitive, so not the GO crowd) are social autists.
This one kid who is like 18-19 years old in my engineering class would wear the same Walmart shorts everyday and sperg about the most petty things, such as how he's avoiding SV spoilers, how a Typhlosion he got off the GTS is in beast ball, whatever. He never shuts up and is constantly bugging other non-autists for basic classwork help.
