Maybe its just me but Pokemon Violet feels like it should've been the title to a mainline game like 20 years ago. It feels like such a natural fit. Main reason I'm getting it over Scarlet.

I think it end up losing to Scarlet when parents make off the shelve purchases. Red dragon is cooler for their kid vs the purple one when giving a quick glance.

NTA but switch is the only platform still worth buy physical games on. Doesn't take up much room, games are the same price as digital, still 60 bucks instead of 70, etc. I mean buy digital if you want who really gives a shit but it's less common switch I feel

The difference is Violet has a better costume. Looking colors is a pretty huge deal for many people I guess. And nobody knows how clothes customization works yet, so they pick violet
