>>51844719Reviewers are not your salvation, not since FNinetndo got cast into the abyss. No one is going to risk their site and their ability to operate within an industry to appease manchildren on a basket weaving forum anymore, that's why you have faggots like khu and kaka, who both aren't risking anything while also getting off that you hang on their every word.
Reviewers only get their copies, or codes, nowadays,1 week in advance. Not only that, everyone who reviews anything on switch, even indie shit has to go through a contrived authentication process in order to use their codes on the eshop. The codes they get are single use, and you have to input a string of buttons that is unique to your switch every time you redeem a review code. Nintendo also only tells you of this combination via email, and if you lose that email, you practically have to beg for it, jumping through so many authentication hoops, again, even for indie shit.
This has been the case since before swsh leaked, but they really tightened the circle of people who get review codes now. You'll see all the big worldwide sites get it like IGN and Gamespot, but the smaller sites need to have a YouTube channel or be active on social media, not only to maximize the audience they reach per code they give out, but to make sure those who get codes are easily held accountable.
