I phrased that poorly. We've seen a lot of trailers detailing the game's setting and plot but almost nothing showing gameplay. I remember throughout gen 5-7 we were shown battles, new moves and abilities, and a plethora of new/changed mechanics.

Yeah and that kind of advertising sucked because TPC would blow their whole load and create pseudo walkthroughs of the game by the time it came out. It's better this way.

They've shown a couple of things like that, like Klawf and Cyclizar's new abilities and obviously the Terastal shit, but I get what you mean now
I feel like the marketing this time is trying to find a balance between appealing to casuals and first-time players as well as older ones, so they're not going into too much depth on the mechanics

Its not going to be perfect, but the result of the Arceus riddles ended up pretty dead on. We're getting the early from a narcissist of questionable character, sure, but we have enough clues to stand on and see a chunk of the secrets over the wall. I want the dexleak and all that, but we aren't living in a void of info

Im happy that so far it seems we arent gonna have a massive dex leak. Like the best part of these games is seeing the new pokemon, so it sucks to just have everything spoiled
