>>51851284There are some implications throughout the series that a Stone Evolution cannot be stopped - outside of special circumstances. Ash's Pikachu for example avoids touching Thunder Stone's because of this. Though in theory he didn't have to do this, there's two cases I can recall of right now where a Stone Evolution Pokemon is unaffected by these stones: Chloe's Eevee who for some unknown reason cannot evolve; my theory is that its either a reference to the Let's Go Eevee who cannot evolve or most likely its an Eevee with the Gigantamax Factor thus its incapable of evolving. This should also extend to Ash's Pikachu who also has the Gigantamax Factor.
Everstones also don't seem to stop Stone Evolutions either. An Eevee could stop itself from evolving into an Espeon (Friendship), Umbreon (Friendship), or Sylveon (Friendship or Affection) though.
