chose torhic/treecko for BRT, vulpix/turtwig for Sky. piplup/chimchar when I was a kid and playing Time, but I don't really count that since I didn't realize it was super different from the main series and just named them like I would normal pokemon haha
planning on possibly replaying Sky and actually doing the special episodes as they come this time. being semi-involved in the community has spoiled a few of them for me ||I've heard vague whisperings of Dusknoir and Grovyle being related but that's about it||, but they've been nowhere near as spoiled for me as the postgame has ||I've never made it to the Shaymin tribe, raised the Manaphy, nor fought Darkrai or been kidnapped by Palkia, and yet I know of all these events pretty well because the community is extremely uncreative and 90% of the comics that come out of it are just word-for-word adaptions|| so I'm willing to give them a shot
surprised that not many people share the opinion that PMD kinda dropped off after Sky? Sky wasn't even my favorite, but I honestly think it was the peak and neither 3DS game is actually good. GTI is better than Super in most ways (I cannot emphasize enough how much I utterly despise the recruiting system and linearity of that game's story, as well as the partner's personality), but neither are good. Don't think they ever could be, either; a lot of the earlier games' soul came from the spritework, and replacing all the cute portraits with extremely clean and robotic 2D drawings just sucked the life out of it. Same reason DX is ass.
