You think people didn't do it yet? Shops just don't have the games yet, most shops will have them only 1-7 days before release, only if somebody fail on deliveries they might get it like 10 days early or so

Mom and pops used to get shit early back when I cared enough about video games to get them early. 1-2 weeks depending on the title stuff like GTA would be a week before but they usually had Nintendo shit a couple of weeks in advance. Given this was a decade ago kind of quit giving a shit about getting early games after everything needed 5 months of patches but pokemon is the slop of games so whatever the leaked version will be just as good as it is a year from now
