Why is Gen4 one of the most favorite gens? Especially Pokédex wise, I really don't see the appeal. The art direction skewed to overdesigning almost all of the creatures, and to me the fan favorites are the worst offenders. Lucario, Garchomp, Giratina, Arceus. They all look like the artist should've drop the pen a couple of lines earlier. Not to mention absolute abortions like Heatran, Dialga and Palkia.
I know this reads like one of those "Am I the only one that..." posts, but I'm genuinely curious. Why do you like Gen 4 designs so much?
