A post-game set of missions in Sun and Moon have you meet an adult who never got to fulfill his dream of beating some of his rivals and asks you to do it.... but everyone you meet is also now old and unable to fight like they used to, one of them you even have to fight their granddaughter in their place because they passed away. It was honestly kind of dark.

In ORAS you stop one world-ending scenario only to have another appear right after in the post-game that you also have to stop, and you have to figure out a way to do it without just dooming ANOTHER world in a different universe.
