I have to say I'm really disliking A LOT of mons this gen. Bellibolt, Gimmighoul, Grafaiai, Fidough, those mouse/parrot/muhsrooms from the minimap. I'm really despising the move to these goofy looking designs.... Even the best designs this gen are meh....

I really am starting to despise fans of the later Gens (specifically Gens 5+) recently, due to how loud they've been getting. They literally can't accept that some people have different opinions to them and attack you for criticizing their Gen, then proceed to endlessly shill and defend it and jerk eachother off on Twitter and Reddit. I never see Gens 1 - 4 fans doing any of this. I guess it's because Gens 1 - 4 were universally loved on release, but Gen 5 is when older fans started giving the games more shit, so the fans of them feel the need to defend them online because they got defensive over them.

Well, you're free to settle for less, but I personally want my money's worth out of this graveyard of a series.

So, I'm not content with Gens 5 - 9 killing this franchise. I will keep pushing the argument that these games are bottom of the barrel trash, backed up with evidence, until we start getting good games again, like the first four Gens.

It already has good games though. Those are Gens 1 - 4. Unfortunately, Gen 5 kickstarted the downfall that took it to this franchise absolute lowest with Gen 8, with no sign of stopping yet.

I've always fucking hated HGSS. On release I couldn't have been bothered to get it. it was only years later where I rented it from my local library. It was awful. I just used action replay and gave myself the mons I wanted cause the selection was dogshit. I completed it but it was an okay experience. Didn't feel like I had to own it. Now there's so much discourse online about how HGSS are the best pokemon games ever made and recently picked it up as I was longing for a pokemon experience. played it vanilla and it was so shit. awful trainer teams. worst iteration of Kanto. Terrible music. Too many shitmons. boggles my mind how people think this is the best game ever.

Right now it's Unova, but it's been Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh too.
