2HKOs at worst everything in the game with Choice Band. Outspeeds and OHKOs almost every single offensive mon with Scarf. Zen Mode is hard to pull off but without priority good luck stopping a sweep. It's also unexpected because 95% of the time it runs Gorilla Tactics.

Smogon ranks it somewhere around A- in UBERS.

It's not quite an "I win" button since it requires prediction and if you guess wrong you lose momentum and get punished by hazards. It does have U-Turn though. Icicle Crash is also inaccurate and Flare Blitz has recoil. Still disgustingly strong and I expect Gorilla Tactics to be nerfed in this generation to *1.3 boost instead of 1.5

Sky high attack even before the bonuses
Can slam 80% of the game with high powered supereffective moves
Moderately fast
Has a second ability that can cheese well
Worse case scenario, you can just use U-turn for little to no drawback

Its got 90 base speed. In what world is it going to be "too fast". It can't cut it as an offensive mon, especially because it can't use choice items.

Its a bulky pivot with a LOT of counters.

Zero good physical stab moves, limited to Icicle Spear, which is inconsistent, and it’s special sets get stalled to shit. Specs struggles with Bulky Heatran that eats Ice Beam, Roost 3 Attacks struggles with pink blobs, Volcarona and Clefable can use it as setup fodder, ect, ect

It was top tier but it wasn't uncounterable. It was literally banned because it was a bulky offence that stall had issues with

In OU Giratina doesn't have to run 252 HP/Def, it can run 252 SpA/Spe instead making it faster and stronger than its stats suggest.
Rest/Talk/WoW/Hex sets up on Blissey, Pex, Ferro and pretty much every defensive mon, PP stalls them, burns dark types and kills everything else.

Kyurem also ran SubRoost+DD+Spear which worked just fine as a physical sweeper.
Specs, DD and Freeze-Dry+EP had vastly different checks and it could sometimes run odd shit like Metronome (item) to get past ultra-bulky walls.

It also gets checked super hard by SpecDef TTar, Grimsnarrl, and Zarude and gets absolutely raped by special attacking ghosts like Gengar and Blacaphelon. It also can't do much to Tapu Fini either and Chansey and Blissey and Agislash completely wall it

Zen Mode is actually way less braindead since it’s very easy to knock out with priority or resist a combo of its 2 attacking moves. It also needs to figure when is a good oppritunity to set up Belly Drum since it’s main bulk is with HP. GT Darm just needs to click move/U-turn reactionly.
