Why even bother with the games at this point? the only good thing this franchise has anymore is the trading cards, at this point the games might as well just be a supplement to the TCG than the other way around

I mean the TCG probably makes more money. it's the most popular TCG in the world, whereas the main games certainly aren't the most popular video games in the world, and in fact are substandard products at best. whereas even Pokemon GO is one of the most popular mobile games ever, and also makes way more money. the main games just introduce the new Pokemon, characters, and gimmicks.

Pokemon card collectors are the worst, they’re so picky about the condition of their cards, if the centering isn’t worth sending to get PSA 9 or 10, then the card is shit. And then sealed collectors have to inspect the packaging on the boxes to make sure it’s as pristine as possible which takes a while since Pokemon QC is shit. PSA is such a fucking scam and they all fall for it so easy.

TCG is serious business and if they released the art out would make it so much easier for people to make fake cards and try to sell them. Right now fakes are easy to spot because they're making direct copies of cards. Imagine how much closer they'd look to the original if they could get the image just right and work harder to format the text so it doesn't look like a photocopy.

There's plenty of evolution support out there to go toe to toe with V decks, and in a lot of cases even have a large advantage because your pokemon are more expendable than theirs are. Beating a guy by 2 hit KOing a couple of their three prize pokemon, while they've had to reluctantly kill four or more of my dudes, is a great feeling.
