Another example of Ultraman's influence is how all the Pokemon have species designation like "The Fire Pokemon," which stems from how Kaiju and aliens in Ultraman are things like "The Hallucination Seijin" or "The Skull Kaiju."
There's other, smaller nods too like the Ashnime rendition of Staryu and Starmie using Ultraman's shouts and treating their center gems like the Color Timer, or how a lot of Pokemon cries in R/B/Y are just heavily distorted kaiju roars.
