>>51905592>Grass/Ghost 2 lines, 4 Pokémon in total, and both have a type based gimmick of their signature move changing the target’s type to one of the two (Trevanant Grass, Gourgeist Ghost). Meant to be relatively interchangeable. One is a possessed tree and the other is a possessed pumpkin of various sizes.
>Water/Dark3, 2 of which are fully evolved. Similar in stat line, one is fast and frail and the other is slow and somewhat bulky. One is a piranha/shark predator in sea water, and the other is a crawdad in fresh water.
>Grass/DarkAgain, 3 in total, 2 fully evolved. One is faster and bulkier but weaker. The other is stronger but slower and frailer. One is a mischievous yokai/forest guardian, and the other is a nocturnal cactus desert monster.
>Fire/GhostChandelure - Very powerful special attacker and somewhat bulky yet moderately slow. Ghosts possessing candles.
Alolan Marowak - Bulky slow physical attacker. Fire dancer who developed spiritual powers to protect itself from Grass types.
Blacephalon - Ultra Beast with ridiculously high offenses and speed with terrible defense. Bomb clown that can destroy its own head.
Hisuian Typhlosion - Slightly faster and bulkier than Chandelure with much less special attack. Psychopomp.
Each Pokémon has unique gimmicks or origins to distinguish one another. You can’t assume that all Pokémon in a given type combination play the same. Even the Fire/Fighting have unique species strengths. For instance Infernape is faster than Blaziken yet frailer and weaker while Emboar is bulkier with emphasis on recoil moves.
