This is the problem. Gamefreak can't use fan designs so the more cool designs the fans put out the less cool thinga Gamefreak can actually make.

Literally all of the final evos suck, I wanted to like Sprigatito's and Fuecoco's so fucking bad but their designs just weren't worth it.
Fuecoco looks nothing like the pre-evos, loses the sombrero that was a big part of the middle evo's charm, the snout looks weird, the eyes look plastered on top of a sphere instead of being part of an animal, the skull theme is completely lost, and while I like the idea of a blockier look, the way they tackled it makes it look unfinished and halfassed.
Sprigatito's just isn't very colorful for a jester theme, he lacks visual charisma, his snout is too short which makes his head look too humanoid and makes the nose get completely lost due to the mask even tho it doesn't cover it, this makes it look way too fucking humanoid.
