Retards. They're called "paradoxes" because they're not supposed to exist. They're there because of the magical area at the center of Paldea that somehow makes "imagined Pokemon" real. They arent from any past or future, nor a separate timeline or dimension. They are figments of humans' (or even Pokemons') imaginations turned real.

That doesn't help the case though. If they're Pokemon born of people's imaginations then that's all the more reason for why they should follow the standard Pokemon naming conventions. Why would people imagine a Pokemon that isn't named like a Pokemon?

Here’s how I understand it: Paradox Pokémon aren’t Pokémon from another time or dimension. They’re theoretical accidents dropped into Paldea from a null-existence created by peoples beliefs and rumors. It hasn’t been confirmed but I get terastallizing has something to do with it.

because lore says that's how people imagined or recorded them to be. it's kinda like how in Japan there's this belief that gods come to exist because of people's beliefs/faith. a modern anime depiction of that would be Noragami.

There being pokemon created through people's belief is fine. I just think having these pokemon be future/prehistoric versions of existing pokemon is overly contrived nonsense. Doubly so with the future ones. It makes no sense that people would believe they exist.
