What's the lore reason behind mecha pokemon other than being "future" forms. This shit makes no sense

Each of them is based on some kind of robot. Delibird is an animatronic, Gardevoir/Gallade is one of those futuristic anime humanoid bots, Hariyama is based on 70s anime mechas like Mazinger etc.

It's like bladerunner, in the future authentic pokemon are extremely rare and are pretty much exclusively owned by collectors. The average trainer can only hope to catch and train man-made recreations of pokemon.
That or maybe in the future their technology and weapons are inspired by pokemon biology kind of like the robot dogs, robot cheetahs, robot spiders, etc scientists build today

Pokemon adapt, they're digital creatures inherently, hence the PC system, when humans inevitably start merging with technology in the pkmn timeline, the creatures also would have had to adapt.

I don't understand why they didn't used the Pokestar Studios Tyranitar design, that could have tied with the Gen 5 remake and make all the concept more cohesive.

I personally don't like the ''same but mecha'' paradox thing. I'd have prefered to see how actual Pokémons adapted to future times more organically, keeping just one or two being literal robots, like Delibird, which is the best one.
